GUNS: Remove ‘political agenda’ to find a solution

Make guns illegal to save lives? Would it work like the war on drugs that has been going on for more than 50 years to remove drugs from our cities. Wait, that’s not working because there are not only more drugs but more dangerous drugs on the street today. With approximately 100,000 people who die from drug use every year. Millions and millions of dollars spent on the drug war with very poor results.

Or maybe like prohibition to rid the country of liquor from 1920 to 1933. Oh wait that lead to bootlegging and the rise of more organized crime and violent criminal gangs shooting it out on the streets. Or just make more gun free zones. No, that just seems to work like a magnet to attract the mass shooters, especially at schools. California, New York and Illinois have tried to rid their states of guns and make it near impossible for citizens to own guns or ammunition but they still have high rate of gun crimes.

So if making guns illegal won’t have much different results is there something else that might work. Remove the political agenda and I’ll bet we could come up with another idea that would work.
