PREP ROUNDUP: T-Wolves take two from Lakeland baseball
• BASEBALL
COEUR d’ALENE — Junior Ty Shepard had three hits and three runs scored in the nightcap for Lake City, which swept an Inland Empire League doubleheader 6-3 and 11-6 over the Lakeland Hawks at Lake City High on Wednesday.
Eric Bumbaugh and Owen Mangini had two RBIs each in the second game for Lake City (5-4, 4-0 IEL), which limited Lakeland to four hits in the first game.
Eric Wylie had two RBIs in the second game for Lakeland (0-7, 0-2), which travels to Coeur d’Alene for a doubleheader on Friday.
"I like the way my guys competed in both games," Lakeland coach Jason Bradbury said. "Even though we didn't come out on the right side of the scoreboard, I saw a lot of improvement from my team. I think we took a step in the right direction."
Lake City is scheduled to face Moscow in a twinbill on Saturday.

win at The Links
POST FALLS — Kellogg’s Stephen Paul notched medalist honors for the second straight day, winning the Kellogg Invitational at The Links Golf Course.
Paul, who won in Tuesday’s Bonners Ferry Invitational, shot a 69, leading the Wildcat boys to the team title.
St. Maries won the girls team title with a 437.
Orofino’s Julia Grimaldo was girls medalist with a 90.
The match, previously scheduled for Pinehurst Golf Course, was moved to Post Falls due to snow on the course in Pinehurst.
Timberlake returns to action on Tuesday against Bonners Ferry at The Links.
