Day Shift
• Deputies handled a theft of a catalytic converter from a motorhome that was parked at a storage facility in Hayden.
• Deputies handled a mental health call where the R/P's son was out of control. Deputies were able to build a rapport with the son and get him to calm down. No crime was committed.
• Deputies assisted ISP with a pursuit and crash investigation. The KCSO Traffic Team was called out to investigate the accident involving the suspect vehicle.
Night Shift
• Deputies responded to Bayview for a report of a hit-and-run accident. The suspect was located and during the investigation it was determined he was DUI.
• Deputies responded to a report of a suicide threat. Deputies interviewed the female about the threat and determined she needed some mental health help and transported her to KH.
• Deputies handled a vehicle v. elk crash on Highway 54.
• Deputies responded to the jail for a report of a possible DUI. It was reported a male was at the jail to pick up someone being released. The male was contacted and determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He was issued a citation for DUI and told not to drive and find another way home. The male decided he did not want a ride home and made the poor choice of driving away from the jail. A deputy was in the area and stopped the vehicle. The male was then arrested for a second DUI charge.
