WELCOME TO IDAHO: Bring back the sign

After traveling back and forth the last few years, to Washington state, it was always great to come back home to Idaho. The “Welcome to Idaho” sign, as we crossed the border, was like a warm hug.

So the last few times we came across, it was like something was missing, the sign was absent. Many people cross the familiar I-90 stretch on a daily basis, and the road can become routine. It could be easy to miss that big beautiful blue Idaho sign. Maybe it was because we had been in Washington most of our life, but to those who have lived here, we know that Idaho is a special place. The Idaho sign represents more than just geography, it stands for the strength, and independent spirit of its people, the courage to stand and not bend.

We hope the sign will again, very soon, take its rightful place on the border, standing tall.
