Douglas Kevin Trimpe, 69

Douglas Kevin Trimpe passed away unexpectedly March 6, 2023, at the age of 69 while on vacation in Lake Havasu, Ariz. He is now in God's hands, but forever in our hearts.

Doug was born in Lansing, Mich., in 1953, son of Norval J. and Marian (Jonker) Trimpe. He graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1971 and worked for the Michigan Highway Department until 1997. He later shifted his focus to Real Estate.

He married Nanette (Larkin) Trimpe on Feb. 9, 1991. In 1997, the couple set out for a new life adventure by moving their family to the land of scenic beauty, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Doug had a passion for life and the outdoors. He cruised the lake on his boat or jet ski. He loved snowmobiling, four wheeling, camping, hunting and fishing.

Doug is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Nanette, and two children; Sabrina Marie Klein (husband Scott), Kevin Douglas Trimpe (wife Kaleena); five grandchildren named Konnor, Eleanor, Emmett, Luke, Avery; and brothers Steve (wife Debora), Jeff (wife Melissa) and his sister, Barb Laidlaw. Doug will be so missed and remembered by brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and his many devoted friends and associates.

He was laid to rest in Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. His celebration of life is planned for June 10, 2023, at the Coeur d'Alene Resort at 2 p.m. The river of life carries us all, away. Doug would ask you to enjoy life, cherish it just as he did, and hold on to those you love, so very tight. Doug, may the angels lead you to your savior and the Lord now embrace you in his love forever. Rest in peace.
