Richard Andrew Tucker, 74

Richard Andrew Tucker of Hayden, Idaho passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2022.

Rich was born on January 16, 1948 to Lovell and Dorothy Tucker in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (although he preferred to be known from Hayden where he lived most of his life). After Rich graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1966 he attended NIC for 2 years while operating a night shift at Tucker's Box Factory. In 1968 he enlisted in the US Air Force serving until 1972 and was a Viet Nam veteran.

In November 1970 while on leave he married Bonnie Waade at his parents home in Hayden. They had two children, Jeff and Melinda. Following his service in the USAF he worked at Tucker's Box Factory in Hayden until its closure in 1991. At that time he returned to college and completed a degree in business in 1993. He then worked for Odom Distributors of Spokane, Washington until retiring in 2014.

Rich was an active member of the Hayden Eagles from 1986 until his passing. He served as president from 1994 to 1995 and on the board of trustees for many years.

Rich was preceded in death by his daughter Melinda Rae Tucker, his older brother Thomas Lovell Tucker, and both of his parents. He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Hayden, son Jeff & Kandi of Coeur d'Alene, sister Diane Reeves of Coeur d'Alene, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial was held at the Hayden Eagles on September 14, 2022.
