Glenn Maier, 93

Glenn Maier, 93, passed away from natural causes on Monday, Oct. 17. He is survived by his wife Nora; his daughter Sheila Andrus and her husband, David; his grandson Christopher Andrus and his wife, Cherri; his granddaughter Stephanie Reid and her husband, Kendall; his great-granddaughters Jordyn, Baylee, Rory Reid; his sister Ruth Anderson; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter Mary Maier.

Glenn was a life long entrepreneur, having built and owned A&W drive-ins in the Spokane Valley from the 1950s to the 1970s. He also sold and maintained ‘Order Matic’ ordering systems as well as the ‘Tranti’ crash control machines throughout the greater Northwest region.

Everyone related to Glenn will miss him and his unique stories he told over the years.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at the Golden Spike Estates at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 29, in Rathdrum, Idaho.
