NIC ELECTION: Vote for Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman

| October 23, 2022 1:00 AM

The NIC trustee races might be the most important items on the ballot this November. North Idaho is crucial to our economy, and its accreditation must be preserved if we want to continue to benefit from important programs like workforce training, career-technical education, nursing and health professions, and dual enrollment. That’s why I’m voting for Pete Broschet, Brad Corkill and Tarie Zimmerman.

They’re longtime Kootenai County residents with strong business ties in the community who will bring conservative values and stability to a board that has been in chaos for the last two years. We need all three in order to secure NIC’s accreditation status so the college can continue to provide outstanding job training and economic opportunities. NIC’s accreditation will continue to be at risk if a Todd Banducci-led majority gets control of the board again. So, vote Corkill, Broschet and Zimmerman in as NIC trustees. Our community college’s future depends on it.
