The Community Library Network announced the resignation of Library Director Amy Rodda, effective Nov. 21.

"Rodda cited unforeseen family circumstances that are leading her back to Colorado," said a news release issued Wednesday by the library network.

“I am so proud of the staff and people I’ve worked with in North Idaho, and I am confident our staff will continue serving our library patrons with skill, commitment, and enthusiasm," Rodda said, in the release.

Since May 2021, Rodda has helped lead the Community Library District through updating library policies, hiring of a new assistant director, conducting an employee compensation reevaluation, developing a three-year strategic plan, and more.

The board will undertake a search for a new director immediately and will announce an interim director before Rodda’s departure. A special meeting is scheduled for Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. to work on next steps.

“Our priority as the board of trustees is to continue a level of excellence in service to our patrons through professionalism and hard work," said Community Library Network Board of Trustees Chair Katie Blank, in the release. "We have dedicated staff and the board of trustees supports them unequivocally.”
