NIC ELECTION: Vote for Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman

| October 19, 2022 1:00 AM

The Oct. 2 feature in the Coeur d’Alene Press, “Our Community’s College,” highlighted the importance of North Idaho College to our community. NIC is vital to the region’s economy, providing our businesses with a highly trained workforce and equipping students with the skills they need to be competitive in today’s job market.

In November it’s crucial that we protect this vital resource by electing Pete Broschet, Brad Corkill and Tarie Zimmerman as NIC trustees. Our community college is under accreditation review because of the instability and chaos caused by Todd Banducci’s board majority.

Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman are conservative longtime residents of Kootenai County whose values represent our community well. Their opponents, on the other hand, are recent transplants to this area. Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman will apply common-sense conservative principles in order to stabilize college governance and protect accreditation so NIC can continue to offer valuable programs like dual enrollment, workforce training and nursing.
