NIC ELECTION: Vote for Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman

| October 16, 2022 1:00 AM

I attended the recent Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce candidate forum for those seeking election to the North Idaho College board of trustees. Given that this election is one of the most important in the 89-year history of the college, I was dismayed that three of the candidates chose not to participate in the forum.

The three candidates who participated were Pete Broschet, Brad Corkill and Tarie Zimmerman who each showed their unwavering commitment to the college, the students and continuing the legacy of the college serving the five northern counties of Idaho. They are conservatives who want to ensure that NIC remains accredited and allows workforce training and dual enrollment programs to flourish.

I have always believed that actions speak louder than words. For candidates to not participate in a public forum on such a critical issue as the NIC board of trustees shows much about their commitment to the college.

I’m going to vote for candidates who show up. I urge you to do so as well. Vote for Pete Broschet, Brad Corkill and Tarie Zimmerman.
