NIC: Vote for Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman

| October 7, 2022 1:00 AM

Many of us who have been around the block a few times have been observing the activities of the North Idaho College Board of Trustees as a whole and its individual members. Furthermore, we have joined forces in researching our current NIC board candidates so we can provide you accurate information.

Our conclusion is: Pete Broschet, Brad Corkill and Tarie Zimmerman are the standout candidates. Their outstanding knowledge of our community’s needs from a community college, their dedication to the success of NIC’s students and their ability and their willingness to work civilly with fellow board members is well documented in their activities.

Their solid conservative values and their principled characters leave no doubt these three candidates will serve NIC and our community with respect-worthy results.

Besides giving utmost consideration to the needs of NIC students — whether they are planning to transfer to a four-year college, are enrolled in a tech program, the college’s nursing program, the law enforcement program NIC offers or the many other options available for learning at NIC — these candidates are cognizant of the value of the dual enrollment program, as well as a time and money saving option.

These three candidates recognize the importance of NIC maintaining its accreditation to preserve scholarship funds. All three will work to ensure NIC returns to its once highly respected status lost under the board leadership of Banducci and McKenzie.

The opponents of these fine candidates are committed to returning Banducci to the chair role, further threatening NIC’s accreditation and costing taxpayers dearly.

Vote for Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman for principled, competent and conservative representation at NIC.
