| October 5, 2022 1:00 AM

Bonnie J. Eddy, 87, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, our beloved matriarch, went home to heaven on July 31, 2022. She joined her husband, William “Bill” Eddy, and her parents, Glen Orlyn Richardson and Lueverda “Dolly” (McAlister) Richardson. Bonnie was born on March 27, 1935 in Milan, Missouri. She grew up in Milan and, after graduating from high school, she moved to Newton, Iowa to work as a bookkeeper. She lived with her cousin and a high school friend.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Bill Eddy in 1958. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Lisa and Carol, and 61 years of marriage. Bill predeceased Bonnie in December 2019.

Bonnie was a loving wife and mother and dedicated her life to raising their two girls. She also assisted Bill in his various businesses throughout the years by taking charge of the bookkeeping and record keeping for those businesses. In their later years both Bill and Bonnie enjoyed traveling together and visiting friends and family.

Bonnie has always been dedicated to following her faith in the Lord. She assisted preschool children in the church with learning about Jesus and the Bible. She also volunteered at her church, Grace Bible Church in Hayden, to help others in her community and ministries supported by the church. She volunteered for many years on the prayer chain to call others to pray for those who were in need.

The matriarch of our family will be missed greatly by her daughters, Lisa Permen of Post Falls and Carol Eddy of Coeur d’Alene; grandchildren: Casey (Arlena) Eddy, Aaron Permen, Madelyne Permen, Alicia Gehres, and Dustin Gehres; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Archie Eddy; and brother, Glen (Sharman) Richardson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 10, 2022 at Yates Funeral Home – Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 N. 4th Street, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814. Please visit Bonnie’s online memorial and sign her guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com
