CELL TOWER: Commissioners, protect us

| October 2, 2022 1:00 AM

Many years ago, being a single woman raising two children, I purchased and worked to pay the cost of two small lots that I currently own in Armstrong Park, dreaming of the day when I would be able to build my dream home in my retirement years, paying the taxes, etc. along the way.

The beauty of Kootenai County, city of Coeur d’Alene, and Lake Coeur d’Alene is the stuff of magazine pictures showing off where we are so privileged to live. Now I see imminent danger to our safety and well-being as residents of Armstrong Park, and a blight on our beautiful views that we enjoy of our magnificent community — one that the county and city should take great pride in. Governance by city and county should place the safety and well-being of its citizens, and the wishes of the citizenry above all else.

Many, many cities have taken steps to forbid the building of such cell towers in or near residential neighborhoods.

Kootenai County Commissioners, please do not grant any type of permit for this cell tower. Protect the lives and assets of our residents, please.

A scared and concerned citizen.
