Northwest Crafters inside Silver Lake Mall
The works of 10 specialty places are featured in the Northwest Crafters room just inside the main entry to the Silver Lake Mall.
With special items for Christmas gifts, the venders include: La Vita Bella (olive oils and balsamic vinegars), Rustic Glory (wooden flags, ornaments and crosses), CdA Scents (hand and body lotions), Just a Lil Woodshed (signs, birdhouses and steel crafts), Jordan Taykor (hardwood boxes and trivets), Wildberry (huckleberry jams and more), My Girls' Hats (hand-crocheted items), The Laser Engravers (cutting boards and more) and Red Rooster Crafts (wooden signs and gifts).
Started by members of the CdA Farmers' Market, items are unique and quality made with a family atmosphere.
Hickory Farms opens in the mall
With gourmet foods including sausages, cheeses and candies, Hickory Farms has a holiday store next to Macy's men's area in the Silver Lake Mall.

Kinder Prep Learning Center opens this spring
Phase I of the new Kinder Prep Learning Center is under construction at 1847 W. Prairie Ave.
Opening in the spring, the preschool's mission is to provide a quality curriculum-based program to prepare children for the next rung of the educational ladder while developing a foundation of core life skills to embolden their independence.
The curriculum promotes hands-on, sensory and play-based learning experiences for ages 18 months to 5 years old in an environment that is nature themed and community driven.

• A Hawaiian-style menu will be featured at Konala, a new restaurant under construction at 107 E. Seventh St. (behind the Bunker Bar on Spokane Street) in Post Falls. Owners Trace and Jammie Miller (also owners of The Bunker Bar and Burger Bunker) plan to open in March. The website will be www.konala.com.
• A 20,000-square-foot structure called Prairie Professional is under construction on the north side of the intersection of Prairie Avenue and Ramsey Road. The office building to be complete in December 2023 will have suite sizes from 2,200 to 10,000 square feet available. A main tenant will be Riverstone Dental Care.
