Christmas parade promises a 'Winter Wonderland'
The Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association's 30th annual Lighting Ceremony Parade is scheduled for 5 p.m., Nov. 25.
This year's theme is "Winter Wonderland."
Emily Boyd, association executive director, said they have about 40 entries for the parade, making it one of the biggest in event history. She expects it to also be one of the best.
"When it's in the evening with all the lights, it's magical," she said.
Santa, the Lake City High marching band, superheroes, horses and fire trucks will make their way down Sherman Avenue.
Awards will be given for Best Use of Lights, and Best Use of Theme.
The parade attracts a large crowd, so it's good to arrive early.
After the parade, the public is welcome to gather on The Coeur d’Alene Resort lawn. The Holiday Lighting Ceremony will start at 6, followed by the fireworks show.
