Nancy Lou Jones, 89

Nancy passed away at the Schneidmiller Hospice House on Nov. 3, 2022, while holding her daughter’s hand.

She was born in Palo Alto, Calif., on Oct. 22, 1933, to Walter and Edna Carson and grew up in Auburn, Calif. Going on to college in Chico, Calif., she earned her teaching degree. While there, she met and married the love of her life, Raymon Jones. They were blessed with 55 years of marriage and four children: Paul (Lorraine) Jones, Terry (Tomm) Stone, Gail Lotto and Kathy (Scott) Fields. They also enjoyed six grandchildren: Nicole (Shannon) Beverly, Aaron (Karol) Lotto, Katie Jones, Olivia Jones, Kayla (Adam) Paulson and Sam (Amber) Wellman; and three great-grandchildren, Payton, Lane and Victoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymon, and sons-in-law, Charles Wellman and Grant Lotto.

Mom was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and was an accomplished pianist, by whom many benefited from over the years.

The last three years of her life were spent with Charles Jenson after being united in a Christian union. They enjoyed their last few months together at Garden Plaza (The Bridge) in Post Falls, Idaho.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at Yates Funeral Home — Hayden Chapel (373 E. Hayden Ave. Hayden, ID 83835). Donations may be made to the United Methodist Church or Hospice of North Idaho (www.hospiceofnorthidaho.org).
