Carl William Schulte (Bill), 90

Carl passed away peacefully at his home in Post Falls, Idaho, on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022. He was born in Milford, Conn., in 1932.

Carl attended and graduated high school from Milford Prep, lettered in track and football. Following graduation, Carl earned his engineering degree from Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Ind. Carl married in Milford, Conn., in 1957 to Arlene Marjorie Smith, and remained married until death.

Carl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as an artilleryman. He also enjoyed a successful career as one of the nation’s top Aerosmith Engineers … Carl enjoyed many hobbies and has worn “many hats.”

He cared very deeply about the souls of others and was a humble man, always first. One of his most famous quotes was, “Be quick to listen and slow to speak, train hard and fight easy!”

Carl received his Last Rites one week before his passing and died a very happy Catholic man.

Carl is survived by his wife, Arlene; his five children, Steve, Khrys, Tim, Tom and Dean; many grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Russo; and brothers Jimmy and Edward Schulte.

Rosary is to take place at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Church, 495 N. Lincoln St., Post Falls, where Carl is to lay in vigil until Mass at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery to follow.
