NIC ELECTION: Vote for Hartman, Sheridan and Waggoner

News Flash. When the president of NIC announced the cancellation of the “HallowQueens Drag Show,” he did so due to “confusion or misunderstanding” of the event. What is there to not understand about the invitation of children to attend and wear costumes? This is not a legal issue. It is a moral issue. I am not talking about the rights of adults to party as they want but leave the children alone.

Why was an event harmful to children allowed at our community college in first place? Is this what we get when three unelected NIC Board members, appointed by an unelected board, to make up the majority on our elected trustee board, get to hire the president of our college? Throw into the mix the apparent impropriety of the two property purchases brought to light recently and the picture seems clear.

If you want to continue this type of culture at NIC; if you want to continue with such an egregious affront to the very fundamental principles of our constitutional republic including principles of morality, principles of governing by consent, vote for the “Friends of NIC” and fake, copycat “North Idaho Republican” candidates. I choose to vote for Sheridan, Hartman and Waggoner who have spoken up in defense of our children and helped bring to light these financial improprieties.
