NIC ELECTION: Vote for Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman

| November 4, 2022 1:00 AM

I attended the last NIC board meeting remotely. It was an example of juvenile behavior and the inability to form an argument. You can see the recording on YouTube. One of the few responsibilities of the board is approve the purchase of property. On Monday, the board approved the purchase of a residential property adjacent to the campus. I am fine with NIC buying the property, but I could easily produce a half dozen reasons to not buy it. Two trustees were incapable of articulating an argument for not buying the property and instead engaged in accusations of corruption targeting past and present board members.

The incompetence of Trustees Banducci and McKinzie is evident in all these board meeting recordings. They dominate the meeting discussions, complain that they do not have time to fulfill their responsibilities and are incapable of advancing any idea or agenda. I do not take their antics seriously and consider their emotional outbursts as theater.

Executive sessions require four trustee votes. Trustees Banducci and McKinzie block all executive sessions meaning that the board cannot discuss property negotiations and personnel business. They then complain during meetings about not being in executive session. That is dishonest. Stealing the sign supporting Corkill, Broschet and Zimmerman from my yard on Monday night is just as dishonest.

Vote for competent truly local leadership.
