Veterans Recognition Ceremony set for Saturday

The American Legion Manuel Schneidmiller Post 154, Northwest Guardian Riders and the city of Rathdrum invite all veterans to attend the 2022 Rathdrum Community Veterans Recognition Ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The program is a way to say "thank you" to local veterans.

This year’s event will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 13541 W. Highway 53, Rathdrum.

Doors open at 10 a.m. The program, featuring music, veteran awards and door prizes, will begin at 11 a.m.

This year's guest speaker is Kerri Rankin Thoreson, Post Falls City Council president, curator of the Ronald D. Rankin Veterans Memorial Plaza and Coeur d'Alene Press columnist.

Lunch will be served following the program.
