NIC ELECTION: Vote for Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman

| November 2, 2022 1:00 AM

Babette Banducci’s reaction to Dr. David Wold’s comments at the conclusion of the most recent NIC board of trustees meeting proves the old adage “the truth hurts.” Dr. Wold’s comments were spot on and long overdue. Responsible, principled members of the community are fed up with the lies and bullying visited upon us by the two “elected” members of the board and their cohorts. Trustee Banducci has a long history of conduct issues that are well-documented. Trustee McKenzie has fallen in line, routinely disrupting meetings with childish outbursts and name calling.

Now we have three candidates who wish to join Banducci and McKenzie in their mission to cripple NIC. Their candidacies are nothing but promulgation of the misinformation and disinformation that were started under the prior board leadership (Banducci): the “deep state” pervades NIC (no evidence), liberals run rampant and suppress conservative thought (no evidence), Christie Wood filed the complaints that caused NIC to come under scrutiny (no evidence), accreditation has not been at risk during the NWCCU’s review of the college (read the report for yourselves and see the truth). Space constraints preclude an exhaustive list. Their candidacies are not about what they plan to do for the college. Rather, they’re about what they plan to do to the college. Electing even one of them will cause severe damage.

This election provides a clear opportunity to put NIC back on track to benefiting the community as a whole, not just a certain ideological element. Take a stand against the lies and bullying of the past. Vote for character and integrity. Vote for Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman — because NIC needs all three.
