BABETTE: Wold was not ‘appalling,’ others were

This letter is in response to Babette Banducci’s reference to NIC board Chairman Wold’s departing commentary as “appalling diatribe.” I attended that meeting, and can state firsthand that Dr. Wold was simply offering thanks for serving NIC and the community.

Serving in a thankless capacity on a board rife with anger, cursing, shouting, threats and sanctions due solely to board member behavior. Appalling was the behavior of Todd Banducci who left the trustee table before the meeting was adjourned, the constant irrational interruptions by Trustee McKenzie, and the continued taunts, threats, yelling and intimidation during and after the meeting by Banducci and the KCRCC candidates.

Appalling was the need for armed security presence, even escorting President Swayne and his wife to their car. This threatening behavior continued at Thursday’s ribbon cutting, threatening voters who support the non-KCRCC candidates. This truly appalling behavior is inexcusable in any environment, particularly by officials charged with management of NIC.
