Cd'A's Cameron, 13, qualifies for USA Judo Junior Olympics

Blake Cameron of Coeur d'Alene has qualified for the USA Judo Junior Olympics in San Jose, Calif., on June 24-26.

And the family of the 13-year-old, a member of the Lakeland Judo Club, is hoping to raise money for him to be able to make the trip.

"On such short notice, I won't be able to come up with the funds necessary to make this possible for him on my own," Blake's mom, Madeline, said. "I can't imagine letting him down after he has worked so incredibly hard for the last three years to qualify for something of this magnitude."

Madeline started a GoFundMe hoping to raise at least $1,000 to send Blake to the competition with his coach. However, she set the goal at $3,000 with the dream of paying for her and Blake's sister to attend and cheer him on in person.
