DownBeat Magazine honors LCHS grad

Lake City High School graduate Hannah Goodwin has been honored by DownBeat Magazine.

Goodwin is a recent professional music graduate of the Southwestern Community College School for Music Vocations in Iowa. She earned the Vocal Jazz Soloist award as part of DownBeat Magazine’s Student Music Awards. It was announced in DownBeat's June issue, which will be sent to subscribers around the world. Established in 1934 in Chicago, DownBeat Magazine focuses on jazz and related fields.

Goodwin graduated from LCHS in 2020. She plans to attend the University of Texas in the fall to continue her jazz studies.
