April Stamsos, 32
Beloved daughter, sister, mother and friend to many, April Stamsos passed away May 4, 2022, in Newport, Wash., at 32 years old. Her loved ones will continue to honor her legacy by raising her son, Emmitt, and living life to the fullest.
April was born in Lewiston and raised in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She graduated from Lake City High School in 2008. April was a single mother and dedicated her time to raising her son and giving him a life every child dreams of. She was a hard-working employee, and spent 16 years working for and managing Zip's/Burger Express. She was incredibly responsible, purchasing two homes before her 30th birthday.
Anyone close to her knew she was also crazy about recycling and keeping our town clean and beautiful, so future generations could enjoy it just as much as she did. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to April. She loved a quiet evening with friends and a drink in hand to relax. She was an expert thrift store shopper and Wednesdays at St. Vinny's were her favorite day of the week. She was also an artist who transformed her childhood talent of drawing beautiful animals into a passion, depicting animals and environmental advocacy in her tattoos as an adult.
April is survived by her son, Emmitt, mom and dad John and Deanna Stamsos, sisters Grace and Skyla, biological mother and father Chris and Kevin, her uncle Travis, biological brother Jake and her niece and nephews Brycen, Daizie, Matthew, Avery, Zion, Maverick, Bohdi and Isaac.
You passed away so suddenly without any of us expecting it. We would never imagine that we would lose you so young and so soon. We love you so much and our lives will never be the same without you. We love you sweet, sweet girl forever. We promise to recycle!
