Block out the noise and open the window to the sound of birds chirping, of children laughing, of music playing somewhere off in the distance.

Today, there is no war in Russia. Gas is 99 cents a gallon. Every driver behind you will remain a respectful distance back. An anonymous someone will buy your coffee.

Ever since you were little, Mom made wrong things right. Right?

That was her No. 1 job, and she did it well. Still does for those of you lucky enough to have Mom around.

Show us a happy, successful big person and we'll show you someone who flourished as a little person because of a loving mom.

Smart? Chances are, Mom read to her children each night.

Wise? Mom probably helped chart a course between dangerous ditches with clear instructions on how to navigate safely.

Kind? If compassion isn't rigorously and consistently applied by Mom, there's a good chance the child will grow up lacking in that most important category.

Flowers are nice. Breakfast in bed? Bueno!

Today, do something nice for the Mom who rules your roost. Just be sure to start by telling her how much you love and appreciate her, and go from there.
