Kindness rally Saturday at Hayden park

HAYDEN — The Human Rights Education Institute is calling on the community to join the "Love Lives Here" rally on Saturday.

The goal is to "spread messages of kindness" from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McIntire Family Park.

The "positive counter event" is in response to plans of a white supremacist group, Aryan Freedom Network, to hold a gathering on private property in Hayden Lake.

"Part of our purpose at Love Lives Here CDA is to raise community awareness around hate group organizations infiltrating our local area,” said Ali Orjala, program coordinator and co-founder, in a press release.

Activities will include holding kindness signs on Government Way, and giving away flying discs and LLH stickers at the park.

Volunteers will also collect signatures for the LLH campaign.

Orjala said their message of kindness "resonates with everyday Idahoans."

"We will share this message loudly and with joy on Saturday," she said.
