Jeffrey Michael Snyder, 70

Jeffrey Michael Snyder, at the age of 70, passed peacefully on Feb. 21, 2022, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Jeff was born in Flint, Mich., to his parents, Norma Mosier and Theodore Snyder. He was raised with four brothers and a sister. Jeff proudly served his Country in the Air Force from 1970 to 1976. His tour included serving in Saigon during the Vietnam War as a precision photo specialist. He married Janet Garman, the love of his life, in 1977. He leaves behind his wife, Janet; three children, Kristen, Cheryl and Jonathan; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandson.

Jeff grew up in Pomona, Calif., attended Chaffey College and completed his education at Cal Poly Technological College, Pomona, Calif. He achieved a bachelor’s of science degree in economics which provided a career in management and accounting.

Jeff and Janet moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, after being invited by his brother, Greg, to participate in operations and management of a cedar lumber wholesale company. Jeff loved golf, reading, hiking Tubb’s Hill, gardening, watching college football and dancing at his children’s weddings.

Jeff was faithful, loving, kind, generous, a man of integrity, patriotic, hardworking, loyal and committed to his family. No one enjoyed a good laugh more than Jeff. His generosity spread outside his family to Wounded Warriors and Paralyzed Veterans. Jeffrey will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A memorial mass will be held at 12 p.m.. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 919 E. Indiana Ave., Coeur d’Alene. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Wounded Warriors Project, Paralyzed Veterans or American Heart Association.
