Child struck by car in Worley

A 7-year-old girl was injured Friday morning when she was struck by a vehicle while in a crosswalk in Worley.

Idaho State Police personnel are investigating the incident in which a Subaru Forester driven by an 81-year-old woman from Fernwood struck the child.

The collision occurred at the intersection of U.S. 95 and South Third Street. The child was transported from the scene by ambulance.

U.S. 95 was blocked for approximately two hours.

ISP has not released the names of those involved. An investigation is continuing.
