CDA: Wrong target for chaos

Kudos to the Coeur d’Alene police for peacefully thwarting a potential disruption to our community last weekend. The citizen who reported what they saw is also to be commended.

It seems bizarre to think that someone would travel across the country in order to create chaos on our small town. Did they think we would be an easy target? Lest they forget, we rid the area of white nationalists before and we can do it again.

I have never understood why some find it necessary to force their way of life on others; to think we should all have the same thoughts and beliefs. What a dull world this would be if we all parroted the same thoughts, if we were all clones of one another. It would be like going to a restaurant and having only one item on the menu. Not too appetizing.

Mono-cultures do not survive. It takes many ideas, many cultures and many races to create a world that works as we all bring something unique to the mix. As our national motto reads, “Out of many, one.” Remember, the only reason you are here in America is because your ancestors were either Native Americans, slaves or immigrants. Our greatest challenge and greatest reward is learning to live cooperatively and peacefully together.
