Courtesy photo The Timbers North FC 03/04B Red boys soccer team went 3-0-1 and finished second via a tiebreaker in the Boys U19 division at the Idaho State Cup last weekend in Boise. On Friday the Timbers defeated Renegades IF United 03/04 1-0.Kohrt Weber had the lone goal and keeper Kael McGowan had the shutout. On Saturday the Timbers defeated Idaho Surf MV 03/04 9-1. Timbers goals were scored by Noah Janzen with two, Logan Koller with one, Evan Darling with one, Jack Shrontz with one, Zack Wenglikowski with one, and Kohrt Weber with three. Timbers assists were by Walker Jump with one, Tyler Gasper with two, Otto Geilenfeldt with one, Joseph Sarkis with one, and Jack Shrontz with one. On Sunday the Timbers tied the Boise Timbers 03B 2-2. Noah Janzen had two goals, Kohrt Weber with one assist for the Timbers North. On Monday the Timbers North completed round-robin play by defeating Premier Brown 03/04 4-2. Timbers goals were by Logan Koller with one, Noah Janzen with two, and Walker Jump with one. Assists were by Noah Janzen with two, Joseph Sarkis with one, and Zak Wenglikowski with one. The Boise Timbers qualified for the US Youth Soccer Far West Regionals; the Timbers North earned an invitation to the USYS Far West Presidents Cup in mid-June in Phoenix, but declined due to other obligations with the players.

Courtesy photo The Timbers North FC 2005 boys red soccer team won the U17 boys division this past weekend in the Idaho State Cup tournament at Simplot Fields in Boise, qualifying for the USYS Far West Regional Championships in Boise June 20-26. In Game 1 on Friday, May 27, the Timbers beat Premier Pena 1-0. The lone goal was scored by Cooper Prohaska, assisted by Jett Longanecker. Miles Taylor had the shutout in goal. In Game 2 on Saturday, May 28 the Timbers beat Inferno Copa 5-1. Cooper Prohaska scored four goals and Nate Wyatt scored the fifth goal. Miles Taylor had five saves in goal. In Game 3 on Saturday, May 28 the Timbers beat the Idaho Rush 3-0. Goals were scored by Caden Thompson, Zachary Olson and Landon Lee, and Miles Taylor had the shutout in goal. In the semifinal game on Sunday, May 29 the Timbers beat the Renegades Academy 4-0. Cooper Prohaska scored a hat trick and the fourth goal was added on a free kick by Evan Dickinson. Nate Wyatt had one assist. Miles Taylor had the shutout in goal. In the championship game on Monday, May 30, the Timbers North and the Boise Timbers tied 2-2, and the Timbers North won 6-5 on penalty kicks. Tied 0-0 at half, Landon Lee scored a goal in the second half for the Timbers North. It was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation. Landon Lee scored another goal in the first 10-minute overtime period, and the Boise Timbers tied it up in the second 10-minute overtime. In the PK shootout, the Timbers North got one each from Cooper Prohaska, Nate Wyatt, Markus Noble, Evan Dickinson, Griffyn Rider and Seth Johnson. Miles Taylor made the game winning save in the shootout. Courtesy photo The Thorns North FC 08 Girls Red soccer team took third place at the Idaho State Cup in Boise this past weekend. On Friday evening the Thorns beat 08 Premier-McKenzie 2-1. Allison Carrico had the two Thorns goals with an assist by Izzy Entzi. Macy Walter and Adysen Robinson both defended the goal. Saturday morning the Thorns lost 4-0 to Idaho Rush 08 Premier. That afternoon the Thorns beat Indie Chicas 08TN 2-1. Cameron Fischer and Kamryn Kirk each had a goal for the Thorns. Allison Carrico assisted Cameron Fischer's goal. Macy Walters was the keeper. On Sunday morning the Thorns fell 1-0 to Boise Thorns Elite in the semifinals. Adysen Robinson defended the TNFC goal. That afternoon the Thorns beat Idaho Rush 08 Nero 4-1 for third place. Allison Carrico, Avery Lathen, Cameron Fischer and Kambry Powers scored the goals for the Thorns. Ella Pearson and Avery Lathen each had an assist, and Macy Walters defended the TNFC goal.
