MEN: Time to change portrayal

| June 1, 2022 1:00 AM

We get what we sow. Society tells young men that they are simultaneously privileged and without value, and that they are toxic if they embrace the healthy masculinity that comes with being a man.

In every TV commercial, every man is portrayed as incompetent, bumbling or stupid, unless he is portrayed as effeminate, in which case he plays a supporting role to the female in the commercial.

Instead of being celebrated and encouraged to make the most of their life, boys in school are shamed and passed over at every opportunity.

Video games aren’t the problem, and neither are guns. Toxic feminization of America is the problem, and it’s time to confront it. Because if someone kicks and abuses their dog every day, they shouldn’t be too surprised when it bites someone.
