Donald Eugene Brueher, 80

Donald Eugene Brueher of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away July 2, 2022. He was born to Donald and Loretta (Ely) on July 9, 1941. He was born and raised in the Coeur d’Alene area.

He served in the Army from November 1963 to November 1965 and then returned to his job at the Potlatch Lumber Mill in Coeur d’Alene. In 1966, he married Patricia Lakey. They enjoyed many years with family and friends camping, hunting and fishing.

Don loved to ride his motorcycle and his mule Mindy. Don also worked at the Diamond Lumber Company and finished his working days at Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood in Spokane, Wash., in 2005. Don and Patty spent many winters in Arizona where he loved to ride his four-wheeler on the desert and help catch enough fish to feed the park. Don enjoyed driving his 1940 Chevy to classic car shows.

Don is survived by his wife, Patricia; son Scott; grandson Anthony; brother Ronald Brueher (Nancy); sisters June Thom and Janet Russell (Edward); and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
