WEATHER: From sunshine to rain, thunder

If you have lived in Coeur d’Alene for 20 years, then you know how difficult it is to be accurate on the weather forecast. I am 80 years old and walk by Fernan Lake so I pay particular attention to the weather.

At 8 a.m. Friday, July 15 the report was nothing but sunshine. When I reached 3 miles out (about one hour), I was caught in a fierce lightening storm and rainfall. I had nothing with me except two fingers to plug my ears from the noise.

Please congratulate the weatherman who can totally miss a storm that is forming minutes after his sunny report.
