PF man dies following motorcycle crash

An 81-year-old motorcyclist has died following a July 9 collision with another motorcyclist on U.S. 95.

Idaho State Police personnel are investigating the crash that occurred around 11:39 a.m. near Worley.

According to ISP, the 81-year-old, from Post Falls and driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, was traveling southbound near milepost 408 when he collided with a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle driven by an 85-year-old man.

Both riders were transported to Kootenai Health by ambulance for injuries sustained in the crash. The 81-year-old male succumbed to his injuries several days later while at the hospital.

The Idaho State Police are working with the Kootenai County Coroner on notification for next of kin. The mens’ names have not been released.

Both motorcycle riders were wearing their helmets.

The roadway was blocked for approximately one hour.
