Community United Methodist Church welcomes new head pastor

Community United Methodist Church in Coeur d'Alene announced it has a new head pastor, the Rev. Amanda Nicol. The Rev. Heather Seman, who served the church since 2006, while leading with sermons, and direct interaction with children, youth, church camps and mission trips, will be taking a sabbatical before beginning new missions.

Pastor Nicol holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Puget Sound, a master's in divinity from Duke Divinity School, and has completed a Clinical Pastoral Education Residency at the Portland VA Medical Center in Portland, Ore. She comes to the Coeur d'Alene community from serving as the associate pastor of First United Methodist Church in Olympia, Wash. She has served churches, hospitals and retirement communities in Oregon, Washington and North Carolina. Pastor Nicol enjoys hiking, gardening and camping, and is looking forward to the opportunities North Idaho has to offer.

Bush accepts new role as an Insurance Adviser at Flathead Insurance

After 25 years with Allstate, Kathy Bush, has accepted a new role as an Insurance Adviser at Flathead Insurance.

Bush has lived in North Idaho for 30 years. She has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Coeur d'Alene for the last 25 years and has served as club secretary for the last 10-plus years being named Outstanding Secretary for the last years.
