FOURTH OF JULY: A special day

| July 3, 2022 1:00 AM

The Fourth of July! Wow! Flags waving, fireworks, barbecues, family. From the time I was a small boy, I just loved it, a national tradition that in my mind only gives way to Christmas. (Is Santa in the stores yet?) Just why is July 4 so special? Well, let me count the ways. Freedom in America surpasses every other country on the planet; people are dying, literally (53 died in Texas migrant tragedy) to come here. Devastating! Joe, that's on you man! How about freedom? We can go anywhere we desire, each state has a beauty and culture all its own. I suspect when God looked at what He had created and said “It is very good.” He must have been looking at Idaho at that moment! What a joy it is to see our flag waving and know it represents what is good, kind, noble and generous. America has been a beacon of light, love and hope to untold millions. Other nations don't have an immigration problem and in most cases, for good reasons! America was built on faith, hard work and love of country. We must never allow others to tell us differently — the Truth is on our side. Please remember, our government owes us NOTHING. We owe everything to our country, to the men and women of the military, many who gave their lives for our 246 years of freedom. Also, love America while you can — love of country and common sense have vacated our White House!

P.S. “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” (Gulp!) John Adams, second U.S. president
