Parade of Boats opens Thursday
COEUR d’ALENE — With over 160 lakes and rivers within an hour’s drive, the Spokane Boat Show is committed to getting local water enthusiasts ready for the upcoming season.
Although COVID has put a damper on the traditional Spokane Boat Show previously held at the Spokane Fair and Expo Center, organizers have collaborated with local dealers to present the “Parade of Boats.”
Participating dealers will open their showrooms and present a “boat show” experience onsite, offering the latest boat models, accessories and boating gear.
Each exhibitor will offer extended hours from Thursday through Feb. 6. Details about participating dealers are available at spokaneboatshow.com or by contacting Scott Thompson, general manager of the event, at 509-991-1002.
Whether avid boaters are looking for a kayak, fishing vessel, pontoon boat, jet-ski or cruiser boat to enjoy on the water, there is a dealer to help.
“Our boat show dealers wish they could mount the typical event show, but they know people in the region expect something that brings ‘fun on the water’ just a bit closer,” said a press release Friday. “Our dealer group is coming off a record year in boat sales and (is) eager to show off the latest the industry has to offer.”
A live show was always hosted until 2021, said Thompson.
Exhibitors include Trudeau’s Marina and Precision Propeller Co. in Spokane; Pacific Harbor Distributors and Spokane Valley Marine in the Spokane Valley; Midway Marine in Post Falls; Coeur d’Alene Marine Sports Inc. and Specialty Recreation and Marine in Coeur d’Alene; Boat World in Dalton Gardens and Land Locked Marine, Ascent Watersports, Mark’s Marine Inc., and Tobler Marina in Hayden.
