NIC to hold auditions Tuesday

The North Idaho College Theatre Department is holding open auditions for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” 6 p.m. on Jan. 25. in Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center on NIC’s main campus in Coeur d’Alene.

Auditions are cold readings and no prepared material will be required.

The openings are for at least seven women playing early 20s to 30s and for up to 13 men playing early 20s to late 30s or early 40s.

"A Midsummer Night’s Dream" is one of William Shakespeare’s most popular comedies featuring mixed-up lovers, mischievous sprites and sparring couples.

Production dates are April 14 to 16, and 21 to 23. Rehearsals begin on Jan. 31.
