Trustees to discuss vacancy

The North Idaho College board of trustees is scheduled to take action on the trustee vacancy at the board meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

The meeting will take place on the NIC main campus in the Edminster Student Union Building, Lake Coeur d’Alene Room and through the Zoom virtual meeting platform.

The board should consider a motion to direct the administration to publicize the vacancy for trustee Zone 5, and request letters of interest for the seat by a specified deadline.

Other action items include the first reading/action for a board response to the letter from the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, board goals for the presidents and scheduling a board accreditation workshop.

The board will take comments on agenda items from members of the public in person at the meeting, and comments will be limited to two minutes per person.

The board will meet in executive session before the meeting at 5 p.m.
