NOTICE OF ADVERTISEMENT PRE-QUALIFICATIONS FOR Bentley Lift Station Rehabilitation FOR THE CITY OF POST FALLS The City of Post Falls is seeking to pre-qualify general contractors for the Bentley Lift Station Rehabilitation in the City of Post Falls, pursuant to Idaho Code 67-2805, "Procurement of Public Works Construction". Pre-qualification applications will be received at the office of the City Clerk (Shannon Howard), City of Post Falls, located at City Hall, 408 N. Spokane Street, Post Falls, Idaho 83854 until 10:00 a.m. local time, Friday, February 25, 2022. Work associated with the proposed project is generally described as follows: Rehabilitation of the existing wet well and valve vault, replacement of wet well cover and hatch, replacement of the pumps, new guide rails, new electrical/control, new generator, add flow meter, add emergency storage, and permanent by-pass pumping provisions. The existing lift station includes new submersible duplex pumping system capable of 275 gallons per minute, 1,260 gallons of emergency storage constructed of a buried precast concrete structure, bypass pumping provisions, new paved entrance driveway, regrading of an existing stormwater swale, minor landscaping and irrigation, and utility coordination. All responses must be signed and the proposing companies must have a current, valid Idaho Public Works Contractor license for the work under consideration in order to submit. Upon receipt of SOQs, the City and T-O Engineers will evaluate and determine which Prime Contractors are qualified to bid. If the City proceeds with bidding the project, all prime contractors deemed qualified by the City will be invited to submit formal bids for the project as delineated in the Bidding Documents, which are currently under development. One non mandatory meeting will occur prior to bid. The City, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to the advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 23 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. Any protest of determination of qualifications or bidding procedures will be handled in accordance with procedures delineated in Idaho Code 67-2805. Prime contractors will be responsible for all costs (including site visits, if any) incurred in preparing or responding to this Request for Qualifications.
