The Reverend Dr. Otto Salvatore Zuckschwerdt, 74
The Reverend Dr. Otto Salvatore Zuckschwerdt was born Aug. 16, 1947, to Kenneth and Jennie (Schiro) Zuckschwerdt in Manhattan, N.Y., where he grew up. Otto graduated high school and then pursued the ministry by entering The Great Commission Theological Seminary at Rossville, Ga., to attain his Master of Divinity degree. Otto served several churches on the East Coast. Continuing his education, he received his degree of Doctor of Psychology and transitioned to Christian counseling. He also served many years for the Civil Air Patrol retiring as Lt. Col., holding the position as the Idaho Wing Chaplain.
He was united in marriage Dec. 17, 2012, to Diana (Stelling) Zuckschwerdt. The couple made their home in Post Falls, Idaho. On January 23, 2022, Otto died from complications with Multiple Myeloma. He was surrounded by his family and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 74 years.
Otto was a member of North Country Chapel. He was active in the life of the congregation serving as a Bible School Teacher in the Friday Kids Program. Otto was a student of The Word and enjoyed time spent reading his bible. He enjoyed travel and especially enjoyed time spent with his wife and family. Otto will be remembered as a gentle, loving and insightful believer. He was faithful, loved Jesus, served Jesus and was devoted to his family.
Otto is lovingly remembered by his wife, Diana, of Post Falls, Idaho; children, Christina Brown, Julie Ludeke, and Lacey Moen; six grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ian, Jordan, Noah, Hannah & Zoey; 3 great grandchildren; his sister, Mary Zuckschwerdt; family and friends. Otto was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Jennie.
