Folks are fighting back

Gonzaga has banned basketball superhero John Stockton because he wouldn’t wear a mask at Bulldogs games. Stockton claims that 150 athletes or more have fallen dead from COVID vaccinations. And now his reputation has fallen dead among many of his former fans.

In football, Aaron Rodgers claimed all kinds of pseudo-scientific BS about why he doesn’t have to be vaccinated, and with the Green Bay Packers no longer in the hunt for a Super Bowl ring, another sports superhero has been sacked.

Perhaps the greatest tennis player of all time, Novak Djokovic, claimed he didn’t need a vaccination to ace the Australian Open, so the Serb lied about it. The Aussies told him to take a hike, and so too may the Brits and French. And another superhero double faults.

In entertainment, the spotlight has fallen on Spotify and Joe Rogan for spewing COVID misinformation. Superstar Neil Young told Spotify to take his music and shove it, and similar notes were heard from Joni Mitchell, Harry and Meghan and David Crosby, among many others.

People are fighting back.

And they’re fighting back in politics, too. To wit:

Donny Trump and his band of sycophants went to a Texas roundup Saturday night, and the erstwhile so-called leader of the Free World led his fans into a frenzy.

“If these radical, vicious, racist prosecutors do anything wrong or illegal, I hope we are going to have in this country the biggest protest we have ever had in Washington, D.C., in New York, in Atlanta and elsewhere because our country and our elections are corrupt,” he said, ticking off cities in which his business or presidential behavior is under investigation. And who are these “racist prosecutors?” Well, they’re all Black. And if the scared-to-hell former guy is indicted by any or all of these persecutors, then by God we need to have race warfare in the streets of the respective cities. So all you white supremacists, strap ’em on.

But before we get into Civil War 2.0, Trump wants all you Jan. 6 rioters and plotters to know that he just may pardon all you all. Just keep your mouths shut and when he gets back in the White House, he’ll be able to take care of you.

Hang on a minute, caution notable and sometimes RINO fighters back; That would be inappropriate, says Gov. Chris Sununu of the great state of New Hampshire. Turtleneck Mitch says “No mercy.” And Lindsey Graham of the not-so-great state of affairs in South Carolina says “I hope they go to jail and get the book thrown at them.”

For good measure, let’s throw in some more fighting back from George W. Bush, who’s giving the maximum personal donation to Liz Cheney and Lisa Murkowski for daring to fight back against the Trumpster, who belongs in a dumpster.
