Bruce Edger Brownsberger, 89
Bruce Edger Brownsberger was born Feb. 5, 1932, in Markham, Ontario, Canada. He grew up and went to school in the Markham area.
He then went west to northern Alberta where he met Elaine Yoos, who was working in a bank in Olds, Alberta. While Elaine cashed his checks, she always maintained she did not marry him for his money! Bruce’s career eventually brought the family to the states where they settled in Butte, Mont. After a short stay, they relocated to North Idaho. The couple made their home in Dalton Gardens and Hayden where they raised their family. Bruce was a heavy equipment operator and worked for numerous construction companies throughout his career.
Bruce and family spent many memorable years living and working in Banff National Park. After moving to Idaho, he went to work building and maintaining roads throughout the Coeur d’Alene area and for Inland Empire Paper Company. He retired in 1997. After retirement, Bruce and Elaine enjoyed RVing and traveled all over the western United States and Canada. Bruce especially enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.
