ANONYMOUS: Letter rankles writer

| February 2, 2022 1:00 AM

I received an anonymous letter posted in Spokane. This person was so upset by one of my letters to the editor that he/she took the time to look up my address.

In one of my letters I suggested maybe we should ask politicians their view on God. This letter of Jan. 6, titled “JUSTICE: Where is it?,” struck a nerve with this person.

The anonymous letter stated in large bold print, “No — we should not ask politicians their view on God — haven’t you heard of separation of church and state? Read the constitution and stop writing letters to the paper that expose your ignorance!”

Well, Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous, I am not a constitutional expert and referred to Professor John Eastman, who is. He addressed this in one of Dennis Prager’s 5-minute videos.

So how do you look this up for yourself? Type in any search bar “Prageru”. Top right is a magnifying glass, push this and a search bar comes up. In this search bar type in John Eastman. Under his name will be two videos. Select the one that says “What does the separation of church and state mean” then watch the video, maybe a couple of times.

I would suspect that this website might make you uncomfortable. Not only does it feature Dennis Prager, it features many other experts on all kinds of topics. They are all 5-minute videos.

I can tell you personally that it has improved my understanding on many different subjects. Possibly after watching this, you might write a letter to the editor with your name attached. I promise you no matter how I might disagree with you, I will not take the time to look up where you live and send you a letter.
