BOISE — Another big quarter, another big game.

And the bigs, they’re getting it done for Post Falls.

Senior Capri Sims had 25 points and 25 rebounds, junior Letti Asper nine points and 15 rebounds for the Trojans, who beat the Middleton Warriors 75-58 in the TimberLion Tournament at Borah High on Friday, capping a 3-0 run through 5A Southern Idaho League schools.

“Capri was dominant underneath and both her and Letti played well,” Post Falls coach Brian Hall said. “Every time they got a rebound, we were able to get the put-back, and that was big for us.”

Sophomore guard Myckenzee Mitley scored 18 points for Post Falls (14-0), which hosts Kamiakin on Wednesday.

Zavier Lake scored 15 points for Middleton (8-5).

COEUR d’ALENE — Symone Pilgrim had 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Royals in a win over Flathead Valley Home School Association at Holy Family Catholic School.

Rylee Overturf had six points, 12 rebounds and five blocks, Chelsey Cate 12 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, Danica Kelly six points, five assists and seven steals and Jennifer Peterson seven points, five assists and five steals for North Idaho Christian (15-1), which faces Christian Center on Tuesday at The Courts at Post Falls.

LIBERTY LAKE — Kate Siers scored 11 points for the Lions in a nonleague loss to Flathead Valley Home School Association of Kalispell, Mont., at the HUB Sports Center.

Marianna Bullington scored five points for Christian Center (1-4), which faces North Idaho Christian on Tuesday at The Courts at Post Falls.

Emilia Opheim scored 17 points for Flathead Valley.

Cd'A's Rossi; Lakeland

claim titles in St. Maries

ST. MARIES — Coeur d’Alene sophomore Will Rossi beat Lakeland senior Matt Williams by an 11-4 decision to win the 120-pound championship at the Chad E. Ross Memorial Tournament at St. Maries High.

“It might have been the toughest weight in the tournament,” Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Moffat said. “He really changed his mindset this week and got more in tune with what he needs to do. He’s got a lot of talent and did a great job today.”

Coeur d’Alene junior Kara Brown beat Lakeland junior Annika Thompson in the girls 152 pound final.

“Kara really controlled the match and did a good job,” Moffat said. “Kara just keeps plugging along and we’re hoping she can get on a roll.”

Coeur d’Alene freshman Brooklyn Anderson was third at 145.

Dylan Scott (182) and Preston Jeffs (285) won titles for Lakeland, which claimed the team title with 188 points.
