COEUR d’ALENE – The Seagrave Children's Library at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library is in need of rejuvenation.

Knudtsen Chevrolet is lending a hand.

The Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation, Inc. recently accepted a $25,000 donation to its annual campaign from Knudtsen Chevrolet.

The contribution will go toward acquiring a centerpiece cabin/playhouse for Coeur d’Alene Public Library’s children’s area as part of the campaign goal of revamping the space.

"The library hopes that the cabin will provide a cozy reading space as well as inspire creative play and exploration for many years to come," according to a press release.

The 15-year-old children's library is also looking for new, comfortable chairs, additional shelving, interactive play times, colorful decor and hopes to update the craft room

The foundation has not set a definite target for the campaign. The hope is that the $25,000 contribution from Knudtsen Chevrolet will cover the cost of the cabin. The library is looking to implement several other updates to the children’s area — new shelving, furniture, décor and interactive play items.
