NIC BOARD MEETING: Another perspective

| December 18, 2022 1:00 AM

I, Ronald Hartman read the Tuesday, 12/13 Cd’A Press about the NIC board of trustee meeting on 12/10. I saw it differently.

I was there for the entire meeting. Right after the alarm went off I personally asked the security guard if they had this on security camera. He told me they already know who pulled the alarm.

Plus, I personally felt threatened. While waiting outside after leaving the building due to the fire alarm, I had people directly in my face yelling and cussing at me. Taking pictures and staring at me. I could not even sit at the meeting without people getting in my face. In addition, there was a man behind the board of trustees’ table in the face of the chairman. He would not leave. The chairman requested several times for him to be removed. The chairman received no help in this matter from security. At the night of the meeting, a personal friend came up to me and said he called 911 from the meeting room.

I reported this to the police Tuesday, Dec. 13. I went in and directly talked with a police sergeant. I do not remember his name.
