NIC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Kiefer fuels Cardinal victory

COEUR d’ALENE — Addie Kiefer, a freshman from Lakeland High, scored 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting as the North Idaho Cardinals beat the Gonzaga club team 100-47 on Monday night at Rolly Williams Court.

Kiefer also had seven rebounds for NIC (3-2), which shot 54.7% (41 of 75) from the field. Laney Smith (Post Falls) hit 4 of 8 3-pointers and added 16 points for the Cardinals, Kaylee Banks (Sandpoint) had 16 points, Cami Harris 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals off the bench.

NIC plays Olympic on Friday in Centralia, Wash., as part of an NWAC crossover tournament.
